Gurugram, Sep 24: Samsung India today announced that Samsung Wallet users in India can make UPI payments using their Galaxy device’s fingerprint sensor. With this feature, users no longer need to enter their UPI PINs for payments up to INR 10000, thus making digital payments as effortless as unlocking their phone.
Samsung’s on-device biometric authentication protects user privacy by eliminating the need to enter a UPI PIN in public. This feature also reduces transaction failures caused by mistyped PINs. By leveraging on-device biometric authentication, Samsung Wallet combines convenience, speed and robust security to simplify everyday UPI payments for consumers.
